Sorry for all the delays, but here's v39 at last! For the time being, I quite intend this to be the FINAL One Piece volume I translate. As I said once or twice before, I initially started this whole One Piece retranslation project aaaallll the way back in 2010 because the chapters uploaded on most online manga sites were extremely low quality, both image and translation-wise. To be more accurate, it was my editor Onepiecefag who first goaded me into the project, but he ended up dropping out due to real life schedules, and so I've since had to enlist the help of a few others such as Nitoryu/Blacksword, JFposse, and some other anonymous individuals before I just went solo from v32-39. My cleaning skills weren't the best nor did I have high quality raws to work from, but compared to what was available online in 2010, I think my work was more than serviceable. Special thanks also goes out to Wihyat for offering his proofreading services during all this time.
In any case, since One Piece now has a few reliable groups and Viz itself offering competent translations, I don't really see a pressing need to keep this up. Instead, I'll spend my time translating other series of my choosing under another group (Hox Scanlations). So long and thanks for all the fish, fellow One Piece fans!
P.S. The sendspace link here is meant to be temporary, so if you want any of the older volumes, I recommend trying to get a download account at manga madokami. If you can't, just email me (nepece3000@gmail.com) and I'll send you the requested volumes.

News on v39
Sorry for the very long absence. I'll be returning to release v39 in the first week of May. Unfortunately, v39 should be the last One Piece volume I will work on. If you ever have questions though regarding my translations or whatnot, just contact me by email (nepece3000@gmail.com)

And here's volume 38. My original plan was to do v39 in December but I'm gonna have to delay that to February 2018.
Also, I've so far unsuccessfully tried to get an upload account for madokami. I'll try a few more times but if anyone already has one, I'd appreciate you uploading these files on there for me.

Small change of plans. My schedule is less free than anticipated so while I'm about a third-way done for volume 38, it'll be out in October. Here's volume 37 to tide you over until then. Meanwhile, volume 39 will come out in late December. Also, thanks to all those who responded to my question of what I should do after volume 39. I'm not personally going to re-do the colour volumes, but if anyone wants to use my translations for them, go right ahead. I'm also going to take a closer look at the groups who do tankoban scans for the recent volumes before making a final decision, but I am leaning towards thinking that my part in the One Piece fan-translation scene is nearing its end for the time being.
Regarding how to get the previous volumes I translated, while bakabt is still around, it's a private tracker so I do think an alternative is needed. To be honest, I don't want to create a seedbox for my own torrent, and even if I do upload the volumes up to sites like mega or mediafire, I've no doubt that they'll be reported and deleted. So if anyone has any better idea or wants to take initiative and do something about it, please tell me or go right ahead. You can always email me as a last-ditch way to get the scans.

News on v37-38
Since a couple people have been asking when the next update is, I'm here to give a status update. Unfortunately, June and July will be very busy months for me, so v37 and 38 will be a late August release.
Also, v40 seems to be when Null resumed using tankoban scans for the Water 7 arc. Are there any suggestions on what part in the One Piece manga I should take a look at after I wrap up v39, presumably in the winter? Or is all of One Piece translated well enough that my work is no longer needed?
*Update: Estimated release date pushed back to early September.

News on v35-36
Since I've settled into a biannual schedule, I'm planning on getting v35 and 36 out before end of 2016. It would be nice if I can make it in time for Christmas but I can't make any certain promises on that. Happy holidays in the meanwhile, folks.
*UPDATE: Sorry folks, but release will be delayed just one week. It'll be out by January 7th at the latest.

"Davy Back Fight" and "The City of Water, Water Seven"
On another note, I recently noticed that bakabt also has a torrent of the digital Viz editions so I decided to take a look at their translations for v33 and 34. I honestly gotta say I'm pretty disappointed. My translations are nowhere near perfect or anything, but for supposedly professional translations, I expected a lot more from Viz. It's not even an issue of localization choices like Zolo, names of fruits, or use of profanity which I'm perfectly fine with. There are a few, but noticeable parts in v33 and 34 that the translators either failed to translate a dialogue's full meaning for no good reason or simply mistranslated.
Two egregious examples are in v33 p77, where Robin makes a characteristically macabre joke about Foxy choosing Chopper because he likes (wearing) fur, which gets translated in the Viz version to him liking furry things, which can carry a completely different meaning such as when a person likes furry creatures. And in v34 p224, Kalifa clearly states that Water Seven's shipbuilding industry was "already" advanced even in the past, hence there once being seven competing companies. But in the Viz version, it gets mistranslated to Water Seven's shipbuilding industry was "just beginning."
I certainly hope the later Viz volumes contain less mistakes. I know Stephen Paul is doing the translations for the current weekly Viz releases of One Piece, so those are probably much, much better.

Status Update
Nepece here to give an update. Hopefully the wait didn't kill you. I'm planning on releasing v33 and 34 this July, probably towards the end of the month. Might even squeeze in v35 as well if things go well, but I can't say for certain. Enjoy the summer, folks.

Love Song
v32 is out. I know the cover page (above pic) is rather low quality with lots of artifacts, but I couldn't find any better public raws. If someone can find me better scans for the cover page or the Straw Hat Theatre, I'll gladly redo them with new translations.
*Update: Fixed the Straw Hat Theatre with high-res scans. Thanks a lot for emailing them to me.
*PS. If you're a skilled cleaner that wants to help out. do give me an email. Workload isn't all that taxing since my current pace is only ~3 volumes per year.

News on v32
This is nepece speaking to give you guys a heads-up on the release of v32 that will wrap up Skypiea. It'll be out around mid-December, no later than Christmas. Where I'll go from here, I'm not exactly sure, as I think everything from here has good tankoban scans (I think?). It's a weird feeling, since when I originally started this project with Onepiecefag, One Piece was infamous for having horrid early scanlations that fans just had to put up with as they caught up to the latest release. If you guys have suggestions about which OP volumes still need better translations, then just let me know.

"Capriccio" and "We are Here"
Finished up a bit sooner than planned. I know some of the black and white pages are low in quality, but that has to do with the quality of raws I'm working from. If you see any typos, point them out and I'll upload a fixed version. And I say again, these dl links are not meant to be permanent. Use the one piece manga torrent on bakabt instead.

News on next volume
Sorry for the almost 5 month break, but I'm here to say that I'm not dead and I'm planning on getting both volumes 30 and 31 out before the end of June as a double-release. That's all for now.

The Hundred Million Man
It's probably Christmas already in most parts of the world, but better late than never! I'm already aware that a few of the pages have a bit of their sides cut short, but that's sadly the kind of raws I had to work from. It's a minor issue though, so hopefully it doesn't ruin your enjoyment of this fantastic volume!
*Also, for Snir from apforums working on the digital colored versions, if you can send me cleaned redraws, that would help me out quite a lot, but it wouldn't really make me release any faster than 1volume/~3months. My slow pace has to do with non-One Piece related issues. Mail me at nepece3000@gmail.com if you wish to discuss further.

And I'm back again, here to tell you that I'm aiming for a Christmas Eve release so I can squeeze in one last volume before the end of the year. Thanks for your patience, folks!

A Man's Dream
Finally! v24's out! Another fun volume, though we'll have to wait until the next one for the beat-down that Bellamy deserves. I will be doing volume 25 before skipping ahead to v30, as I believe Null's scans didn't work with the tankoban scans from there and thus lack the SBS and other extras.
Once again, these links aren't meant to be permanent, so use the torrent at bakabt when the sendspace links go down. But if you have other comments like a typo or translation issue, feel free to mail me or post here.

v24 Release Date
Don't worry, I'm still around. V24 will be out in... Let's say between the 4th and 5th week of July. Probably 5th week though. First week of August looks more likely now. It's all translated, just going through some editing and revisions.

Vivi's Adventure
Hurray! Almost almost 4 years since starting the whole re-scanlation project, I've reached my original goal of getting everything up to the end of Alabasta in good quality (yes, there are a few Alabasta chapters left in v24, but let me pat myself on the back for now). Even though my original goal is complete, like I said before, I'll continue on with the Skypeia arc. Translating is an enjoyable hobby of mine, and I had actually never read the One Piece raws before starting this project. As a consequence, I've come to realize there were quite a few things about the original work that had been either mistranslated or overlooked by fan-translations in both the anime and manga.
One example of this would be is Tashigi's lines in p116 of this volume, where she says the World Goverment revokes Crocodile's shichibukai title as well as the special permit of "Lawful Seizure of Enemy Assets" which was granted to him. This is the special law allowing shichibukai to keep plunder taken from enemy pirates or enemy states (those fighting against the WG, presumably) that Oda mentioned allllll the way back in v8 p131. In the horribad manga scans that we've had to deal with until now, the "Lawful Seizure of Enemy Assets" was entirely omitted, and in the kaizoku-fansubs anime, it was mistranslated as a law that allows the government to revoke his title. I'm not sure how Viz did it, but considering that they are a professional company, I can only hope that they did translate it correctly.
Update: Missing page 95 has been added and the subsequent page file names have been fixed. Thanks for the pointing out the error, guys.
Update 2: Apparently, p96 and 97 were still switched around so I fixed it again. Sorry for the sloppy release this time, guys.

v23 Release Date
Really sorry about progressing so slowly with these volumes, but my free time is quite limited. But enough excuses, v23 will be out in the 2nd week of March. Probably by the 13th or so. Could be a few days earlier depending on how things go. That's it for now.

HOPE!!
One kick-ass volume served! As always, if you're wondering where to get the earlier releases because some of the download links are now dead, go get the torrent on bakabt. Now v23 is when the Alabasta arc ends, so let's talk about future plans a bit.
Right now, v23-25 and 30-39 don't have tankoban scans so my plan is to work on them next. If anybody has any related suggestions or wishes to inform me some of those volumes actually do have tankoban scanlations already, go ahead.
